Super Easy Cinnamon Rolls!

Super Quick and Delicious Cinnamon Rolls! Who doesn't love a good cinnamon roll! The cinnamon goodness, and don't forget that awesome frosting! Cinnamon rolls are a special treat we love to enjoy, especially around the holidays. Cinnamon rolls though super tasty, can take some time to make, and sometimes are "heavy" to eat. On a mission for a quick, "lighter" cinnamon roll, I came across this delicious take on cinnamon rolls. Simple Ingredients The secret to these cinnamon rolls is instead of using a traditional sweet bread dough, you use puff pastry as the "roll" part of your cinnamon rolls. We also keep some puff pastry in the freezer for use in our favorite recipes. You can use ...

Maple Brown Sugar Pumpkin Butter

A sweet and easy to make pumpkin treat! We had such a busy fall here on the farm. Lots of harvesting, taking pictures, and last minute projects to get ready for the Northeast Ohio winter weather to come! During all the fall activities, we got a call asking us if we would like some pumpkins from a friend. We of course were very grateful, thinking we are getting a few pumpkins for the flock. Oh were we so surprised and very thankful when we received over 23 pumpkins! Some we saved for the flock, and some we set aside for the humans to enjoy! Fresh pumpkin puree tastes so much better than the canned stuff, and we use it in so many different recipes. From pumpkin pie to pumpkin bread, it ...

As soon as the first leaf hits the ground, I go into full fall mood. I just love everything apples, pumpkins, and the harvest! It never fails we always end up bringing home too many apples. Looking at my large basket of apples, I have a whole list of recipes I like to use. One of those recipes is my Easy Maple Apple Pie. Early last year we were offered a golf cart to rebuild. We were super excited about this project, but this golf cart needed some serious love. Unfortunately, the Northeast Ohio winter got the best of the golf cart, and there was a leak in on the golf cart batteries. It goes without saying, we had our work cut out for us! Homemade Farmer’s Cheese

A beginner's recipe in cheese making! In recent years I became fascinated with the idea of making my own cheese at home. At that time I started a journey to cut preservatives out of my diet, and basically re-taught myself new ways to cook my favorite recipes. I could go on for days about all the gross stuff you can find in prepackaged foods. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes I do pick up a few items from the grocery store out of convenience but for the most part, I make a lot of our food from scratch. This new lifestyle allowed me to become a healthier version of myself and loosing over 100 lbs. That's a story for another day, but trust me I know the downside of what preservatives can do ...
