Maple Balsamic Salad Dressing

February 18, 2022 by OurWrensNest Leave a Comment

Such an Easy and Delicious Salad Dressing to Make!

While looking for a replacement for white sugar, I found that maple syrup is a great substitute! We are big fans of maple in our house, so the change over was not hard at all. A little maple syrup in your tea, on a cold morning – yum! Looking for something different, I discovered a love for Maple Balsamic Salad Dressing. My problem was that I would buy a whole bottle, and then the poor salad dressing after a few weeks was pushed to the back of the fridge. I came across a few variations of maple balsamic salad dressing recipes, and I always like to create my own! It’s a very light dressing, you can mix up how much you need for your recipe, and this dressing goes great with chicken!

Mixing up your own Maple Balsamic Salad Dressing takes less than 15 minutes (you spend more time gathering the ingredients!). For the ingredients gather 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1/2 cup good quality maple syrup, 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard. You can also add a pinch of salt and/or pepper to taste. You will also need at least a pint-size mason jar. So easy!

The great thing about this recipe is that you can adjust the ingredients to your liking. You can also easily half the recipe if you don’t need as much dressing. Versatile recipes are the best!

Mix It Up!

After you have gathered and measured your ingredients, go ahead and put them into the mason jar.

Put the lid on the mason jar, and give it a good shake! You will have to shake for a little bit to fully incorporate all the oils, and combine everything together.

When your dressing is fully mixed, pour on your favorite salad or chicken recipe and enjoy. It’s that simple! My absolute favorite way to use this dressing is on a salad with grilled chicken and blueberries and it’s quite a treat! You can store this dressing in the fridge for a day or two. You will notice the oils will solidify, so you will need to take the dressing out of the fridge and allow the dressing to warm up to room temperature before use.

This recipe is so easy! Grab yourself a mason jar and make this super easy dressing today!
